One of the Vancouver Chamber Music Society audiences’ most well-loved chamber ensemble, the Vancouver Cello Quartet opens the 2022 New Westminster Series. The Vancouver Cello Quartet is comprised of four dedicated professional who have performed original works and arrangements for cellos since 2012. This ensemble of classically trained players celebrates the unequaled sound of four cellos. Their carefully curated program includes arrangements of classical treasures from around the world including Mozart’s well-loved Divertimento in D and Stravinsky’s Suite Italienne. With an air of light and entertaining outdoor music, this eclectic combination of classical masterpieces and hidden gems promises to be entertaining and accessible to long-time and new classical music audiences.
